Mad Love and Loss of Yourself

Any normal relationship suggests two people within a couple – two individualities which do their best on cherishing what they have built to secure their common happy future which suggests things like marriage, children, common house, belongings and things like respect and spiritual closeness.
What can we say about mad love if we compare it with what we've just describe? Certainly, mad love is something drastically different, something that has its own 'values' and 'morals' which do not have anything to do with limits or restrictions or laws of what we call normal relationship.
A person in a conventional (normal) relationship is an individual who has a right to express his/her opinion and argue it with an opinion of another 'participant' of this relationship. Roles are clear and understandable, relations base on respect, compromising and mutual understanding.
Does the same thing happen when it's about mad love? Not at all. Here, the person loses himself or herself completely. Here, there are no rules or laws, a man and a woman in such type of relationship resemble animals who are ruled mostly by their instincts rather than their human qualities. That's why mad love often suggests violence, moreover, violence which is performed and often even enjoyed by both people in a relationship. There are no identities within such love, it's all about madness to put it simple.
